POSITIVE:
-even though its symmetrical, the composition combined with the imagery seems to allow it.
-the color combination is a good one to have as well; the cool pallet adds to the 'spooky' or 'eerie' feeling you get when you think about someone losing control and succumbing to the voices within.
NEGATIVE:
-Im not too sure how I feel about the quality of the image.. Its a bit grainy in the face- not blurry, but grainy.
-The pieces that are to be in focus (hair hands) seem to be a little over exposed with light. I get where you were going with this, but I think its a little too intense. I would suggest some color correcting in photohsop. They seem to almost be lost in the highlights..
-The way the light hits the strands of hair are distracting. I find myself thinking more about how much she needs a trim over the fact that this piece is conveying a message.
In the ends, I do like this piece- its totally gorgeous! I just feel like it needs to be polished up a bit first.
I love this photo. It's probably one of my all time favourite photos, honestly
I picked your photo to be at the top of my feature because it really grabs people's attention. I try to pick a really eye catching piece to start all my big features, and this one is probably the best I've picked because it's extremely eye catching. It's eye catching and stands out from other photos because you've done an excellent job of portraying mood and emotion here. The colours all work wonderfully in doing this, and possibly the main reason it works. The blues and purples portray and really cold, dark, icy feeling, and despite red being the opposite of blue, it really works well with these colours. I like how you managed to portray a dark feeling and a light feeling at the same time - maybe we could call that a "cold" feeling, if anything? Your shallow depth of field and snow in the background also really worked well. The wide frame works great too, a simple thing but helps to portray your emotion. And of course, your pose is also a very important factor!! Well done on that
I'm having trouble thinking of something for you to improve on in this piece.
It is a little grainy, especially at your lip's shadow. Also, the abrupt colour change in your bottom lip makes it look as if you're bleeding (it doesn't look this way at first glance, but after searching for points to improve on for 15 minutes I guess it could
